Thea brand olive oil takes its inspiration from the styles of Ancient Greek pottery. With the substitution of a black and white color palette, a modern twist is brought to a time honored classic. Using olives sourced exclusively from Greece, the brand is meant to reflect a dedication to the artistry put into the creation of the finest extra virgin olive oil. Thea, as its name suggests, is an oil meant for those who want the most divine taste.

PROCESS

The initial inspiration behind this project was Ancient Greek red letter pottery. While I initially attempted to create illustrations in a similar style, I quickly shifted my focus to bringing the feeling of the pottery into a modern style. Using a ceramic bottle with wood accents, the design references the past while being pleasantly modern. The name comes for the feminine form of the Greek word for deity. The logotype went through many iterations before I was satisfied
