JANUS
Procrastination is a constant struggle for college students. Janus was designed to address this issue. By creating a schedule that optimizes the user’s time, Janus ensures that no due dates are missed and no projects failed. That is, as long as wagering your money and being locked out of your favorite apps sounds agreeable. Many people say they work best under pressure and this app puts that concept directly to the test.

USER PERSONAS
User Personas allowed me to figure out who this app would target. By having a better understanding of the user, I was able to decide which features would be most needed and what might not be as important. Of course two personas are not enough to reflect an entire user base, but it is a good starting point.
PROTOTYPING
Creating a sketch prototype of the app is an important step in visualizing the user flow. Unlike a more rigid wireframe created in an application, sketches on paper can be remade and reordered on the fly. Once I felt everything was working how I envisioned, I moved on to more intensive design and prototyping.
Applications such as Sketch and inVision proved invaluable in creating a functioning and visually appealing prototype. With the user flow mapped out, I was able to use that to determine what pages to create and what buttons to make clickable.
